And now that the space will "move" on wordpress do?

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Yesterday I migrated my windows.live.space on wordpress.com,
After a night it seems that wordpress is able to "transfer" the spaces, making
Yesterday afraid of losing "everything".

I do not know whether to say GOOD or BAD.
To do the same thing time ago (through the procedure that are here http://www.ilparticolarenascosto.it/2008/07/18/migrare-un-live-space-su-wordpress-ecco-come/ ) to transfer the articles from the space in here it took me less than an hour.
Sure ... if it be not 'how to do it automatically ... but if I had yesterday warned that it took hours I would not have worried.

In any case I would return to the starting point.
What do the blog on wordpress now?
As for my use "practical" I do not think to update it more 'from time (unless it "functions" the update via email) as having already' this with wordpress (without the limitations we have here) I prefer to use " the best "of my ability 'this CMS (wordpress).

As for advice I can give you ... are the following:

1) Local Copiatevi in the space before you do anything, if only you will be able 'to do you copy and paste your post

2) Make the Migration to wordpress (it takes hours).
To learn how to use wordpress download this guide http://www.danieleimperi.it/risorse/Guida-a-WordPress-per-principianti.zip or visit this site http://www.danieleimperi.it/risorse-web/guide / guide-to-wordpress-for-beginners /
The guide is not 'updated to the latest version but it still helps to understand how wordpress works.
By rail you can see how wordpress is "much more '" than they are here, for example here you can install additional plugins.
Well .. never mind ...
My opinion, and 'to become familiar with "wordpress world" and, as you're ready / and make "your" blog standalone or buying a domain with the addition of database (a 40ina per year with Aruba) or using the various possibilities' for free online (2 of all www.000webhost.com - but thing were "loaded" and "set" manually, wordpress - www.orgfree.com - which allows automatic installation of wordpress, but only with English interface, but in this If you can if you want to set everything manually. You can also ricorrrere to Altervista to that if you do not have much traffic and you need little space you can use it for free, otherwise you have to "pay" something).

3) Once you have your "blog" staff can by a simple transfer ALL the contents of what you have on your wordpress.org blog. (Of this there will speak 'in another post).

4) Once you have created the "your" blog standalone ... installed a plugin that allows you to have a link with facebook and soon after, spaces.live.com platform, activate the "link" between live and facebook in this way ... everything you do on your blog will be '"published" in facebook that will be' published in your windows live updates.
So 'doing you will have obtained
1) A personal blog platforms such as detached from SPACES and WORDPRESS.COM
2) Updates of Facebook is that the state of your windows live.

Questions? Doubts? Ask ...!

Ligabue, A blow to the soul

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Text A blow to the soul Luciano Ligabue

All these lights
all these items
all these friends
where are you!?

All this time
full of fragments
and meet someone
and you're not there ...

All these radios
full of songs
who in a name
here is who you are ..!

Do not you know well to hide

How many times have you been
how many times will pass
and each time is always a blow to the soul

Everything about this place
perhaps seen too
must have a fault
you're not there

all those houses
filled with someone
and among those people
you who you are!?

all these waves
ready to disappear
remains only the sea
As you're

I really do not know to hide ...

How many times have you been
how many times will pass
and each time is always a blow to the soul
How many times have you not
how many times would fail
a shot at the rim and a blow to the soul
How many times have you been
how many times will pass
and every time you bump a soul
How many times have you not
how many times miss
a shot at the rim and a blow to the soul
the soul

And 'Ligabue. It 's back. After 5 years of waiting.
The new album will be released on May 11.
But ...

But frankly, I think (at least in this song) I've done quite a "compitno".
Nothing new under the sun, but even in the rain.
Maybe now things do the best when he writes for others? (Mann, Elisa, to name two examples).
The song is cute, do you remember, but definitely radio .... but I know so much already heard.
A ditanza a few hours on youtube are already lots of amateur video cover ....
I do not know, I am not convinced until the end.
I'll be nostalgic but the "first Liga" saying what the first 10 years of his career was something else.
A punch in the stomach ... a surprise ... now is a slow continuous din repeat a cliché usually with some sprzzo to "splurge".
So in my humble way of seeing a single "save his own skin" (and prepare themselves qualcusa else) chasing old "dreams of R & R"

Book on Demand (BOD) and Print on Demand (Pod). Why 'not?

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I understand that with this speech I will draw 'the wrath of the "purists" of the publication, even if I hope, after reading the post, can at least turn up a little' less prorpio nose if I'm right.

First, for the uninitiated, let's define what 'The Book On Demand (BOD) and Print On Demand (POD).

The first major difference between the BOD POD and 'in the definition of "book" itself. The BOD print a book in all respects with cataloged and entered in the register of books (ISBN, and that 'the numerical code used internationally for the classification of books. It is defined by an ISO standard, derived from the standard English of SBN 1967.Ogni ISBN identifies an edition of a book - not the simple reprints), while the POD printing a book without ISBM code, then (pass word) much more 'at the Amateur. Another distinction to be made (especially in the BOD, but not only) and 'between operators / publishers that require printing a certain number of copies (thus start with a financial investment by the authors) and operators / publishers that do not require a predetermined number of prints and then without asking for any contribution to the author (in this case, however, 'there are often contracts that bind the author for the distribution / printing the book itself for a period of time).

As I said before the "purists" do not like the BOD, 'cause with this method, anyone can' print anything, good or bad, interesting or not, educated or not ... well, it is often said that with the BOD print "dogs and pigs" . Well, I wonder ... that there 's the harm? If a person has a dream, if a person succeeds in its intent, because 'deny them? The problem 'if the author believes that his work may be the new Best Sellers and if he believed the new Tolkinen or Dan Brawn, the new Ungaretti, Quasimodo, Dante and Manzoni.
Unfortunately these days of emerging authors, publishers that point, without pushing and only as a "bet" there are always less or maybe they do for "niches" and "genres" in particular. Often much depends on the "taste" the work of the reviewers, however, do not forget that a publisher tends to gain from what 'public and if that does not provide a "return" it is difficult to transform' in patron. (For a list of publishers NOT BOD and DO NOT pay you to refer to the site http://www.writersdream.org/ )

Personally I think the truth 'lies somewhere in between and' is often true that those who want to be "printed" the presumption that he has written a work of art but it 's also true that those who "prints" it only wants to "play safe".

Coming back to the original saying, that there is' bad dreams come true? I think no one, and the important 'to have the right dose of humility' to recognize their limitations and "flying low" in the claims.
Not to mention that those who print via the BOD POD or do not usually have any kind of advertising ', push, review, distribution, editing, graphics etc etc etc.

Maybe someone in this way anyway "breaks through" (I can think of that and Eragorn 'was printed in 2002 by parents of their own "little" writer before becoming a publishing), but many are forced to remain in a limbo of prejudice and sufficiency.

Personally, I printed my book with the BOD, I have not reached (yet) my target "minimal" sales (50 copies, excluding gifts), but I can not say I was "getting bad".
Do not consider myself a poet, do not consider myself "good". I only dream of having a "my book" and that could be on the shelf or bedside of someone who was not me.
I did the book in a hurry and casting, should I ever make a second ... we metteri much more 'calm, I gave in to a big meal before "BOD" and then to a small international and national (almost ... I have two books equal but different), I tried to get a bit 'of publicity' among friends, relatives and acquaintances, I received some appreciation and some criticism always seen in a constructive way.
I want more '? SOME! I do not hide, I'd push a little 'over ... have one (or more') sales and unexpected "unsolicited" but did not pretend to be "observed" and "put under contract" from a big house, I do not see myself present the book on TV or interviews by the Corriere della Sera.

I would also add another consideration:
Who today (well yesterday) if you feel like investing in poetry?
Maybe there 'yet qalcuno that risks with science fiction, fantasy, gothic, horror ... the discovery of a new Stephen King or Asimov or Chricton ... but honestly who starts out trying the new Quasimodo, Ungaretti, Montale?

Much more 'profitable to write books to DJ, VJ, and Veline Viados .... (Some of which have quietly admitted that he had never read anything you wrote ... and so 'by accident) that have no market!

Finally I would like to point out, however, and the BOD POD publishers that I found on http://31ottobre.blogspot.com

An article in Ginzburg, 1988

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

A topic that is still present: the crucifix in schools (and public offices). I find this particularly interesting arguments that I think all my comment is unnecessary:

"They say that the crucifix should be removed from classrooms. Ours is a secular state that has no right to impose that there is a crucifix in the classrooms. Mrs. Maria Vittoria Montagnana, a teacher in Cuneo, had removed the crucifix from the wall of his classroom. The school authorities have mandated the riappenderlo. Now it is struggling to be able to remove it again, and why take away from all the classes in our country. With regard to his own class, has fully reason. But I'm sorry that the crucifix to disappear forever from all classes. It seems to me a loss. All or almost all the people I know say that should be removed. Others say it is a thing of no importance. The problems are many and dramatic, in school and elsewhere, and this is a problem to be nothing. It 's true. Well, I'm sorry that the crucifix to disappear. If I were a teacher, I wish in my class were not touched. Each taxation authorities is horrendous, as regards the crucifix on the walls. It can not be mandatory suspension.

But in my opinion can not even be required to remove it. A teacher must be able to hang on, if desired, and remove it if you do not want. It should be a free choice. It would be fair also to counsel with children. If only one of the kids wanted it, listen to him and obey. A child who wants a crucifix hanging on the wall in his class, you must obey. The crucifix in the classroom can not only be the expression of a wish. I want, when they are innocent, must be respected. Religious education is a bullying policy. It 'a lesson. We will spend the words. The school belongs to all, Catholic and non-Catholics. Why you should teach the Catholic religion? But the crucifix does not teach anything. Is silent. Religious education generates a discrimination between Catholics and non Catholics, among those who remain in the class at that time and those who get up and leave. But the crucifix does not generate any discrimination. Is silent. And 'the image of the Christian revolution, which has spread to the world the idea of equality among men hitherto absent.

The Christian revolution has changed the world. Would we deny that the world has changed? They say that nearly two thousand years "before Christ" and "after Christ". Or maybe we want to stop saying that? The crucifix does not generate any discrimination. And 'dumb and silent. There's always been. For Catholics, a religious symbol. For others, can be nothing, a part of the wall. And finally, for someone, at least for a minority, or perhaps for only one child, can be something special, that arouses conflicting thoughts. The rights of minorities must be respected. They say that a crucifix hanging on the wall in the classroom, the students may feel offended Jews. Why should they feel themselves offended Jews? Christ was not he a jew and persecution, and perhaps died in martyrdom, as it did millions of Jews in concentration camps? The crucifix is a sign of human suffering. The crown of thorns, the nails, evoke his suffering. The cross that we think high atop the mountain, is the sign of loneliness in death. I know of no other signs that give so strongly the sense of our human history. The crucifix is part of world history. For Catholics, Jesus Christ is the Son of God to non-Catholics may be simply an image of one that was sold, betrayed, tortured and died on the cross for love of God and neighbor.

Who is an atheist, erases the idea of God but retains the idea of neighbor. They say that many have been sold, betrayed and martyred for their faith, for others, for future generations, and on the walls of their schools no picture. It 's true, but the crucifix represents them all. Why is all of them? Because before Christ had never been told that men are equal and brothers all, rich and poor, believers and nonbelievers, Jews and non Jews and blacks and whites, and no one before him had said that in the center of our existence we must place solidarity among men. And to be sold, betrayed, tortured and killed for their faith in life can happen to anyone. It seems to me that the good guys, the kids, they know right from the benches of the school. Jesus Christ carried the cross. We have all happened or happens to carry on his shoulders the weight of a great misfortune. In this distress we call the cross, even if we are not Catholics, because they are too strong and too many centuries the idea of the cross is imprinted in our thinking. All, Catholic and secular bear or bring the weight of a disaster, pouring blood and tears and trying not to collapse. This tells the crucifix. I told everyone, not just Catholics. Some words of Christ, we always think, and can be secular, atheist, or whatever you want, but always in our thoughts also fluctuate. He said "Love your neighbor as yourself". The words were already written in the Old Testament, but have become the foundation of the Christian revolution. They are the key to everything. They are the opposite of all wars. The opposite of the planes that throw bombs on defenseless people. The opposite of the rapes and indifference that so often surrounds women raped in the streets. We talk about peace, but what to say, by the way of peace, in addition to these simple words? They are the exact opposite of the way and today we live. We always think, just finding it difficult to love ourselves and love others even more difficult, or perhaps even completely impossible, and yet feeling that there is the key to everything.

The words did not evoke these crucified, because we're used to seeing that little sign hanging on, and many times it seems nothing but a part of the wall. But if we are to think that Christ was saying, we're sorry too that should disappear from the wall that little sign. Christ also said: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied." When and where will be satisfied? In heaven, say the believers. The others do not know when or where, but these words are, for some reason, feel the hunger and thirst for righteousness tougher, stronger and more ardent. Christ drove the merchants from the Temple. If he were here today would only drive merchants. For the true Catholics, must be hard and painful to move in Catholicism as it is today, move in this frothy mess that has become Catholicism, where politics and religion are mixed ominously. It must be hard and painful for them to untangle this mess the integrity and sincerity of their faith. I believe that the laity should think more often the true Catholics. Just a reminder that there are, to recognize and study, the foamy mess that is today the Catholic world, and they rightly hate. The crucifix is part of world history. The ways of looking and not looking at him are, as we said, many. In addition to believers and unbelievers, false and true Catholics, there are also those who believe sometimes yes and sometimes no. They know one thing, the belief, and unbelief come and go like the waves of the sea. They have the ideas, in general, somewhat confused and uncertain. They suffer from things that no one suffers. They like the crucifix, and maybe they do not know why. They love to see it on the wall. Sometimes I do not believe in nothing. And 'tolerance to allow everyone to build around a crucifix the most uncertain and conflicting thoughts "
