The Bank of Remembrance. The stories of their grandparents.
Thursday, July 31st, 2008The Memory Bank is a project of "nonprofit" dedicated to the collection of experiences and life stories of people born before 1940, in the form of "stories" of 10 minutes.
"Many of us probably remember with pleasure by children themselves, squatting on the legs of a grandfather, intent, careful not to miss a word of the stories we were told. These, as the years passed, and we are still remembered as a true life experiences, lived.
They were told to teach what the experience had led to learn, because they sample, or to preserve the memory of lives lived in accordance with customs and values of another age. For many of us the importance of these experiences is revealed and grew as they became "great" when we began to understand its true value. So it happens to find himself looking, to pursue what our "old" tell us they would know.

When this happens, when you have the good fortune to be able to find the time among the thousand issues of daily life to sit and listen, you discover a world very fascinating.
We would like to succeed with this project to bring a little 'magic of this to anyone with ten minutes of time to devote.
The video is the medium chosen: that's what we think "media" as little as possible about what should be a message "pure". The voice, the faces, expressions are an essential part of a person and of his stories.
